Barring a sudden major single dropping, that does it for regular 2015 business at The Singles Jukebox. This week, we’ll continue a favorite tradition by running 15 songs submitted by some of our readers. We received more than 50 suggestions, the highest total ever; a YouTube playlist of the qualifying nominations is here.
There’s a remarkably good chance we’d be doing The Singles Jukebox even if no one were reading it. But to all our readers — the day-in/day-outs, the occasional drop-ins, the stans, the commenters, the Slate hyperlinkers — we want to thank you. Out of the thousands upon thousands of singles released each year, we have about 700 chances to discuss the most noteworthy. We can’t cover everything, but we want to cover as much of everything as possible. You help us do that.
