A fair number of Jukeboxers are at the 2016 EMP Pop Conference in Seattle, so it’s a little quiet ’round these cyberparts. But not silent:
- Just in time for their comeback, Madeleine Lee wrote about VIXX’s singles chronology to date.
- Patrick St. Michel wrote about Toyomu’s Imagining ‘The Life of Pablo’ for The Japan Times.
- Brad Shoup updated his MEGAPOP Spotify playlist, which he’s alternatingly cavalier and precious about. It will not load on most smartphones.
- Iain Mew posted on A Sea of Songs about Tame Impala.
- Jessica Doyle started a dialogue with K-pendium on their take on Oh My Girl’s “Closer”.
As for EMP (theme: “From a Whisper to a Scream: The Voice in Music”), speakers with a TSJ connection include Jonathan Bogart, Anthony Easton, Stephen Thomas Erlewine, Tom Ewing, Thomas Inskeep, Maura Johnston, Michaelangelo Matos, Alfred Soto and David Turner. They seem to be having fun.
