Rebecca A. Gowns: Perfectly serviceable campfire-singalong indie pop. Fun and cheery! Timeless as in “without time” — it’s not so much “long-lasting” as it is able to wiggle around anywhere between the mid-1990s and today.

Patrick St. Michel: I probably should have not watched the video for this as it made me unfairly view “Medicinal” as a YouTube-ready song, somewhere between a cup-stack version of “Let It Go” and an acoustic guitar take on Bobby Shmurda. First thing you see is a ukulele! But no, this is far more easy-breezy than grating, a sweet albeit unremarkable song that’s a pleasant enough three minutes.

Sabina Tang: Breezy, sweet, and hard to fault, particularly with Ale Sergi in the mix.

Brad Shoup: Great chords: curatorially downcast, like a decent Shins #deepcut, or a tolerable Jon Brion backing track. Sergi gets his yowls in, but Vega’s cooing is the hook.

Juana Giaimo: For a moment I thought I was listening to a song from Natalia Lafourcade’ Hu Hu Hu — the beginning of the verses actually reminds me of “Cursis melodías”. Not even Ale Sergi’s vocals can give more personality to this song!

Iain Mew: Could they not have left a bit of space in this somewhere? It’s like the most easygoing smothering ever.

Megan Harrington: Excellent credits music for a light drama that focuses on adult romance featuring at least one character that’s a single mother.

Dan MacRae: Who couldn’t enjoy a leisurely stretch of pleasant swaying to this?
