What’s he got against bingo?…

Spencer Ackerman: No thematic cohesion + unremarkable performances + generic ringtone beat + Nicki Minaj anal sex reference = this.

Jonathan Bogart: Is there an actual song here, instead of a production track and a handful of unsnipped adjectives? I guess I’ll have to track down the unedited version just to hear it.

Al Shipley: My favorite thing about this song is how short it is, and I don’t mean that as a zing; it’s shockingly rare for a rap single to get done with its business in three and a half minutes these days. Tyga is especially awkward trying to snarl out boasts like “I’m awesome, I’m awesome, repeat it to your grandma and uncles.” But as usual Wayne is the most grating rapper alive, with constant fake forced laughs in place of where he used to actually say funny clever things.

Chuck Eddy: At first I really loved Nicki following up those French horny electro-farts with her screwed-up Missy homage and soul food recipe, and figured Tyga dragged things down, but now I think they’re not so far apart. Then Lil Wayne comes out of the bullpen, lamely rhymes lines with themselves, and calls himself a goofball, which I might buy when he’s quoting John Denver or namedropping Keith Sweat. Goofball or not, he gets credit for a save.

Anthony Easton: Can someone list the use of Muslim terms of devotion in hip hop? I find myself interested.
[8]

Martin Skidmore: I like Nicki’s cartoony verse, as always, on this, but it does sound like her, Wayne and Tyga messing around over a cheapo backing track. This isn’t necessarily a bad thing, but it hardly makes for a memorable single, and this kind of star power should do better.
