Mallory O’Donnell: I guess if I were a dude young enough that my voice still sounded like a woman’s I too might be confused about the difference between indiscriminately giving my love to all the girls in the world and choosing the correct one. I suppose the “Mrs. Right Now” line is intended to clarify this error in judgement and it might have done if I hadn’t already seen it coming from all the way across the wide world MB are so proud of having trotted and boy-whored their way around.

Jer Fairall: Cheek-pinchingly adorable bubblegum hip hop kids wonder where in the world the girl for them is, reducing many a country to broad cultural signifiers in the process. It’s a trope as old as pop itself, so no reason they shouldn’t get their shot at it, but did they have to do it with a synth backing that makes me feel so seasick?

Jonathan Bogart: Scarily competent musical zygotes buying into the patriarchal intersection between matrimony and the male gaze way ahead of schedule. The saving grace is that there’s not a single sincere thing about this song.

Brad Shoup: The constant decay of the warped synths steals a lot of shine from the travelogue — probably all for the best. The harmonies they tweak out of “destination everywhere” are marvelous; one hopes the Avalanches are listening.

Jonathan Bradley: Aggressively exuberant but not actually any fun without the video. Apparently Mr. Cool J hasn’t yet taught these kids of the southern hemisphere’s existence.

Katherine St Asaph: See Iyaz. Points added because they’re kids and might learn, especially given the financial comfort and security from their career, their MacBook product placement bucks and the sale of their much more awesome atlas.
