Claire Davidson: It’s probably a bad sign when the first descriptor that comes to mind upon hearing a song called “Rude!” is cute. The shuffling patter of the keys is pleasant but never truly sticky, and the supposedly aloof chorus lacks a sense of build beyond its breathlessly intoned catchphrases. We’ve covered countless K-pop girl-group tracks like this before, so unassuming in their paint-by-numbers preciousness that they rarely leave an impression. I suspect the fate of “Rude!” will be much the same.
