Nu, Delia…

Patrick St. Michel: Delia’s ringtone at the start of the video was way more interesting than anything that followed.
[3]

Katherine St Asaph: Who knew things were so bad out there on country radio that Carrie Underwood up and moved to Romania?
[5]

Thomas Inskeep: Delia comes off as a Romanian Shakira (without the aural sex appeal), mining contempo-pop from big-lunged Bonnie Tyler high drama territory.
[5]

Jonathan Bradley: The chorus approaches Aerosmith levels of pomp, and that’s insufficient. I’m looking over Romania’s highways on Google Streetview and round Bucharest there are vast plains broad enough to encompass this slide guitar. Delia, however, sounds cramped.
[4]

Will Adams: The fake angst of the chorus sounds airlifted from the mid ’00s. The reverb, meanwhile, pours in from every direction, making “Da, Mama” soaking wet.
[5]

Alfred Soto: It moves with the assurance of a wannabe Kid Rock stomper.
